These terms apply to use of the Olleco online cooking oil store and to orders placed through it. Please read them before ordering. By submitting an order, you agree to these terms. If you are ordering for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation.

Who we are and how to contact us

Eligibility and account information

You must provide complete and accurate information when placing an order. You are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential and for activity carried out through your account, except where caused by our failure to use reasonable care.

Products

Product images are illustrative. Packaging, labels and appearance may vary. You are responsible for checking product information, suitability, storage instructions, allergens and any other information relevant to your intended use before ordering and using the goods.

Orders and contract formation

Submitting an order is an offer to buy. An automated acknowledgement confirms receipt but does not necessarily mean that we have accepted the order. A contract is formed when we send confirmation that the order has been accepted or dispatch the goods, whichever occurs first. We may refuse or cancel an order before acceptance, including where goods are unavailable, payment is not authorised, delivery cannot be made, or there is an obvious pricing or description error.

Prices and taxes

Prices are shown in GBP and include VAT at the applicable rate. Delivery charges and the total payable are shown before the order is submitted. If a price or tax has been displayed incorrectly, we will contact you before accepting the order.

Promotions and promo codes

Promotions and promo codes are subject to these terms and any conditions shown with them. Unless stated otherwise, one promo code may be used per order; codes have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged. Codes issued to a named person are for their use and may be cancelled if shared or misused. We may refuse or remove a discount applied in error or obtained through misuse. We will run a promotion for its stated period and will only withdraw or change it early if circumstances beyond our reasonable control make this necessary; any change will not affect orders already placed.

Payment

Payment is taken in full at the time of order through our payment provider, Cardstream. We do not store full card details. An order is not accepted until payment is successfully authorised.

Delivery

We will deliver to the address supplied at checkout. Delivery information and estimates are set out on our delivery information page. You must ensure someone is available to receive the goods where required and that the delivery location is safe and accessible.

Risk and title

Risk in the goods passes to a consumer when the goods come into the physical possession of the consumer or a person identified by them. For a business customer, risk passes on delivery to the specified address. Ownership of the goods passes only when we have received payment in full for the goods and any applicable delivery charges.

Returns and refunds

Returns, cancellation and refund rights are set out in our returns & refunds policy. Those provisions form part of these terms.

Acceptable use of the website

You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, interfere with operation of the store or use the site for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.

Liability to consumers

We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or breach of statutory rights.

Liability to business customers

Subject to liabilities that cannot legally be limited, our liability to business customers will be limited as set out in the applicable written trading terms or contract agreed with that customer.

Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control. We will contact you when practicable and take reasonable steps to reduce the effect.

Personal data

We process personal data in accordance with our privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms applying to an order are those in force when the order is placed, unless a change is required by law or a regulatory authority.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that consumers may have rights to bring proceedings in their country of residence. Consumers may also contact us first at enquiries@olleco.co.uk so we can try to resolve a concern.

General

If a court finds part of these terms unlawful, the remaining parts continue in force. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it. No other person has rights under these terms unless expressly stated.
